Believe it or not, about an hour or so from the Jersey Shore, there is a magical little land called Duke Farms. It consists of an Orchid greenhouse, trails for walking that are decorated with statues, remains of mansions, and what once was a ton of fountains. The building upon entrances operates with incredible environmental consciousness and has a little organic cafe´. Mike and I planned on going snowboarding one day, but the conditions weren’t looking too great- we decided to go somewhere we had never been before, and I could not be happier with our adventure. Check this place out.
I had the opportunity to work with Tiny Devotions once again, they are a company I continue to grow to admire with incredible products. The quality and intention behind each piece is unique and meaningful. I received a piece from the soon to come, “Wanderlust Collection” which features 16 pieces based on 16 of the most magical places around the world. The bracelet I received was intended to represent Vancouver, a coastal dreamland in British Columbia. This bracelet captures the colors of Vancouver; the beautiful blue oceans paired with the shining white cityscape.
Today I had a spontaneous thrifting adventure with my mom. We talked about huge fashions and trends from years before- things her and her friends would look for, make, and obsess over. After shopping around with her we found some great pieces- but we came home feeling extra inspired. We went into my attic to find some of her old favorites. Then she showed me these bad boys.
That’s right- Ferragamo Heels. She thrifted them years back for One dollar and ninety-nine cents. People really don’t know what they’re getting rid of.
She showed me this top- Suede nude button down with a pinkish tone. It matched the shoes perfectly. This season I vote the deeper the V the better. Leave those buttons undone!
I paired the outfit up with Free People Destroyed Ankle Skinnies and was ready to go. This look felt effortless but classic. Can’t wait to get more outfits with these amazing shoes!
The weather is so fantastic right now- absolutely perfect for getting cozy and having coffee outside. Today I was thinking about colors, pallets that truly inspire me, and all I could think of is Rust. If someone were to ask me my favorite color I wouldn’t be able to limit it to one- the entire rust pallet has always had me swooning. The way that burnt oranges and reds combine with greys, browns, and a subdued blue is so aesthetically pleasing to me. Many of my outfits and even my interior designs are inspired by these colors. Today I utilized this scheme in my outfit, and was inspired by small details of my room.
I’ll be honest, this summer was one of the best times of my life. I haven’t felt so free, so happy, and so grateful to be alive in years. I am so glad I started to work less; I’d rather have a mind full of memories over a pocket full of cash any day. It was hard to make that decision- but I can’t even explain how much I really needed that time to myself. I spent my summer running around- constantly moving from one place to another, and I loved it! I’m the kind of person that LOVES to stay busy. Unfortunately with that being said I did seem to neglect my blog a bit- many apologies to you lovelies who stop by time to time! But tis the season- my very favorite fashion season of all- so I am back with an intention to stay on top of it! I feel very refreshed this fall, and look forward to being very organized and informative!
Today I went with a simple white thermal, paired with my new denim obsession from Free People.
I don’t normally wear scarves inside, I don’t really have any. But this amazing piece is actually a kimono. Wednesdays are usually my heaviest day of work, so I like to be able to be comfortable and work quickly. By wearing the kimono as a scarf, it’s much easier to get work done.
I hope you all had a happy Wednesday! tomorrow I have a day full of school and work, so I may not be able to post, but if I do expect it to be a little later in the evening!
